The time period for accepting comments is longer than first thought due to delays in completing the necessary preparation work. You can comment up to Wednesday 20th October. See the news item below for further information.
Although the Neighbourhood Plan is now formally adopted we will shortly start work on a major update which will cover developments in Market Bosworth up to 2039 and we welcome help and support from members of the community. All residents and stakeholders play an important role in the day to day life of our community and in development of the Bosworth Vision.
There will be many opportunities for people to get involved in gathering information and helping to formulate our new Neighbourhood Plan. Please be assured that no-one would be expected to work alone and typically we would anticipate small groups of 2-4 people working together and any necessary guidance would be provided.
The work will increase as we develop the new Neighbourhood Plan. If you would like to help by offering your services to support the group please contact us via the Volunteering page
One example of wider community involvement is when the BVPG members and many helpers from the wider community conducted a survey to record the hedgerows and trees within the Parish to identify ancient hedgerows and key tree/hedgerow areas. Some of these volunteers can be seen in the picture below. As a result of this survey Market Bosworth Parish Council has submitted a Tree Preservation Order application to the Borough Council in order to protect a number of mature trees.
