Protecting Trees and Hedgerows
Bosworth Vision organised a review of Tree Preservation Orders and a hedgerows which was conducted by a group of 40 resident volunteers.
This work lead to the production of a Tree and Hedgerow Survey Report, published in June 2018. The report records the location and species of trees and hedgerows valued as important. Data is presented in a format that can be easily used by planners, developers and land owners to make informed decisions regarding future building development and conservation of the rural landscape.
In April 2020 Market Bosworth Parish Council approved a supplementary report based on extracts from the main survey, in order that it could be submitted to Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council as an application for a Tree Preservation Order to protect trees on Sutton Lane (The Gated Road), Station Road and the allocated development site (Station Field).
The survey can be seen at Tree and Hedgerow Survey
A safe footpath to Bosworth Water Park has now been provided via the grounds of Market Bosworth Sports Club
