Representatives of Bosworth Vision Planning Group were delighted to receive an award at the recent ‘Making a Difference’ award ceremony. HBBC’s annual Making a Difference (MAD) awards recognise the contribution that volunteers make in strengthening our community and improving the quality of life for residents.

There are a number of award categories and BVPG was nominated in the Environment category, which recognises an individual or group who contribute to, and benefit our environment, making it a better place for us all. This could include: tending wildflower meadows, supporting local woodlands and canal management, community gardens, litter picks, protecting the wildlife, projects that reduce the use of plastic, or encouraging recycling.

It is very encouraging to receive this award and to see that the work that BVPG is doing is appreciated. Thanks to everyone who has helped and supported the work of the BVPG during the development of the Neighbourhood Plan and the many activities which the group has been involved with since the original plan was adopted. As we move forward and update our plan to cover the period up to 2039 it is good to know that our work is recognised.
