Late last year Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) invited residents and interested parties to comment on the Masterplan for the development of the Station Field site to the south of Station Road in Market Bosworth. The consultation has now been completed and HBBC is now analysing the comments and intends to submit the Masterplan document for formal approval by the full Council shortly.
The Station Field site was identified as the allocated mixed use development site within the Market Bosworth Neighbourhood Plan and in HBBC’s Site Allocations and Development Management Policies document. When the Market Bosworth Neighbourhood Plan was put to a referendum it was supported by an impressive 88% who voting to support its adoption.
The ‘Masterplan’ is the outcome from collaboration of the landowners, statutory authorities and stakeholders to bring the Neighbourhood Plan designated site forward for development.
This is great news as once the Masterplan has been approved and formally published it will be available for potential developers to view and use in their development proposals. This will help to ensure that development within Market Bosworth takes place both where and how the local residents and businesses wish.
