Market Bosworth Vision Launch Questionnaire Survey
Bosworth Vision today announced the launch of a Questionnaire Survey for Market Bosworth, which has been prepared by members of the Group. Bosworth Vision is made up of Market Bosworth Parish Councilors and local residents, with the support of officers from Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council and the RCC (Rural Community Council, Leicestershire & Rutland).
Bosworth Vision is in the process of producing a Neighborhood Development Plan for the parish of Market Bosworth to meet the needs of the present population without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It aims to maintain and enhance what is good about the area and embrace the positive things that development can bring, helping the entire community share in the improved quality of life it can offer.
The Questionnaire covers six subject areas – village statement; services & facilities; local green space allocation; housing and employment; town centre enhancement and transport.
Questionnaires have been delivered to all households and businesses in the parish, but any additional family members who are listed on the electoral role can complete a questionnaire. Additional copies can be obtained from the Library or Parish Council Office.
Members of Bosworth Vision will try to collect completed surveys during August, but these can be returned to drop off points in Market Bosworth, including, The Library, The Post Office, The Newsagents The Co-op and The Graphic. The closing date for the return of questionnaires is August 12th
Derek Chamberlain, Chair of Bosworth Vision, commented “This questionnaire is an important part of ensuring that we capture the views and aspirations of as many of our neighbours as possible. In so doing we will be able to produce a local development plan that most accurately reflects the wishes of the community for the future of the town and parish.”
Councilor Ivan Ould commented that ‘I have supported the residents of Market Bosworth for a number of years over their determination not to develop into a dormitory community but to maintain the very essence of their wonderful market town. Bosworth Vision held a recent exhibition that was very well attended and I would urge all who receive the questionnaire to complete and return it as soon as possible.’
